Location
Our studio is located in a late 19th century factory building in the middle of a peaceful Berlin backyard in Moabit. There are many spots both indoors and outdoors to relax and concentrate. And yes, we actually do have daylight in the studio.
We share two rooms of about the same size. The main room is acoustically treated for critical listening. The second room is acoustically more lively, shaped asymetrical and thus perfect for recording piano, playing organ, soldering electronics and storing stuff.

The main room is 33 m² in size and has a ceiling height of 3.10 m. Lucky us, that meets the requirements of the EBU Tech. 3276 standard. Is this a thing? The RT60 is 0.3 s down to 125 Hz. The acoustics were realized in collaboration with concept A Munich.
Monitoring
We rely on a Crane Song Avocet II and its integrated Quantum reference DAC followed by a ST-2 by Trinnov as monitoring system. The loudspeakers are a pair of ATC SCM 45a with an additional Sub12 by ADAM Audio to cover frequencies below 50 Hz.
Hm, that is some dry information... but hey, the sonics are fantastic. Ok, bad sources sound even worse. That’s how it goes.
